In east central Georgia, Greene, Hancock, Johnson and Washington. In north central Georgia, Barrow, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Henry, Morgan, Newton, North Fulton, Rockdale, South Fulton and Walton. A significantly moist tropical environment across Georgia will support high rain rates and increased chances for flash flooding. Widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches will be possible with locally higher amounts of 5 inches or more. Heavy rain may cause temporary street flooding especially in poor drainage areas. Locations impacted include... Macon, Perry, Cochran, Eastman, Hawkinsville, Abbeville, Jeffersonville, Warner Robins, Centerville, Byron, Unadilla, Gordon, Chester, Rochelle, Pineview, Chauncey, Pitts, Danville, Allentown, and Robins AFB. People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to hydroplaning. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for central Georgia.
