Flood Watch issued June 17 at 12:41PM EDT until June 18 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following areas, Clark IN, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison IN, Jefferson IN, Orange, Perry, Scott IN and Washington IN and Kentucky, including the following areas, Anderson, Bourbon, Bullitt, Clark KY, Fayette, Franklin, Harrison KY, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nicholas, Oldham, Scott KY, Shelby, Spencer, Trimble and Woodford. * WHEN...From 9 PM EDT /8 PM CDT/ this evening through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rounds of repeated heavy rainfall could lead to localized areas of Flash Flooding tonight. Flood Advisory issued June 18 at 3:51AM EDT until June 18 at 7:00AM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Indiana, including the following counties, Dubois, Jefferson, Orange, Scott and Washington. * WHEN...Until 700 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 351 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jasper, Madison, Scottsburg, Salem, Paoli, Vienna, Austin, Lexington, Hanover and French Lick. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Special Weather Statement issued June 17 at 8:10PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY Windy conditions will continue tonight, even outside of thunderstorms that develop later this evening. Southerly winds will gust up to 30-40 mph, with a few gusts to 45 mph possible. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. The wind gusts may make driving more difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on east-west oriented roads.
