Flood Warning issued May 8 at 8:50PM CDT until May 9 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of west central Missouri, including the following counties, Cass, Henry and Johnson. * WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 850 PM CDT, the transportation department reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Harrisonville, Windsor, Garden City, Archie, Leeton, Urich, Calhoun, Creighton, Chilhowee, Whiteman Afb, Blairstown, Quick City, La Tour and Post Oak. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
