Flood Warning issued September 22 at 8:14PM EDT until September 23 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Charleston WV * WHAT...Significant flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northern Jackson County in southeastern Ohio... Northwestern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Northern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 813 PM EDT, Department of highways reported numerous roads that were still flooded in the warned area due to heavy rain from earlier heavy rainfall. Flooding is ongoing. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wellston, Mcarthur, Hamden, Allensville, Byer, and Eagle Mills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
