Special Weather Statement issued May 27 at 1:50AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH At 150 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Belfast to Midland, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible. Locations impacted include... Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, Waverly, West Union, New Boston, Piketon, Manchester, Peebles, Vanceburg, Winchester, Kingston, Marshall, Seaman, South Webster, Bainbridge, Camp Dix, Lucasville, Highland Holiday, and Head of Grassy. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building. Motorists should slow down and use extra caution. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM EDT for northern and northeastern Kentucky...and southwestern Ohio.
