Dense Smoke Advisory issued July 21 at 5:11PM EDT until July 22 at 10:00AM EDT by NWS Charleston SC * WHAT...Visibility 1 mile or less in dense smoke. * WHERE...Inland Berkeley County. * WHEN...Until 10 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Thick smoke will make travel difficult and could cause respiratory difficulty. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Horse Island Wildfire burning in the Frances Marion National Forest near Shulerville is producing widespread dense smoke with visibility 1 mile or less across portions of northeast Berkeley County. Watch for road closures and heed any evacuation orders from local, state and federal officials. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
