Flood Watch issued July 14 at 1:23PM CDT until July 14 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central and south central Texas, including the following counties, in north central Texas, Bell, Coryell, Falls, Hamilton, Lampasas, McLennan and Mills. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow moving thunderstorms may result in additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated totals in excess of 4-5 inches. - weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued July 14 at 12:24PM CDT until July 14 at 2:30PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Western Bell County in central Texas... * WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1223 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Killeen, Harker Heights, Fort Hood, Nolanville, Salado, Holland, Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Sparks, Ding Dong, Maxdale, Youngsport, Cedar Valley and Prairie Dell. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
