Flood Watch issued June 6 at 2:10AM CDT until June 7 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Haskell, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor and Throckmorton. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Areas of locally heavy rainfall are expected through Sunday morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 12:32AM CDT until June 6 at 3:30AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Fisher, Jones, and western Haskell. * WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Street flooding in Rule, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Rotan and Roby. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1227 AM CDT, Radar indicated showers and thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain repeatedly tracking north across the advisory area. Radar estimates that 1 to 2 inches, with localized higher amounts, have occurred across much of the advisory area. Additional rainfall of three quarters of an inch to 1.25 inches is expected. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northeastern Abilene, Haskell, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin, Rotan, Roby, Rule, Hawley, Lueders, Rochester, Weinert, O'Brien, Neinda, Mccaulley, Sylvester, Noodle, Sagerton, Longworth and Avoca. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... SH 70 crossing The Draw Southeast of Rotan, US 180 crossing 7 miles west of Roby, FM 611 crossing 1 mile west of Rotan, FM 611 crossing 7 miles west of Rotan, crossings along County Road 141, County Road 260 crossing Harmony Creek, County Road 261 crossing Cottonwood Creek, CO Rd. 444 crossing Noodle Creek, County Road 209 crossing Post Oak Creek and CO Rd. 212 crossing California Creek. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
