Coastal Flood Advisory issued June 4 at 5:14AM EDT until June 5 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...In Connecticut, Southern Fairfield County. In New York, Southern Westchester County. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront may experience minor flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional minor flooding is possible for Wednesday evening's high tide. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Special Weather Statement issued June 4 at 7:02AM EDT by NWS Upton NY Fog has developed across parts of the region. There are patches of dense fog where visibilities are significantly reduced, down to a quarter mile or less. Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities. Slow down, allow for extra space between vehicles and use your low beam headlights in the fog.
