In New York, Northeast Suffolk, Northern Nassau, Northwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Southern Nassau, and Southwest Suffolk Counties. * WHEN...Until noon EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 26 at 5:14AM EDT until September 27 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...Southern Middlesex and Southern New London Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood prone property.
