Special Weather Statement issued May 21 at 8:56PM CDT by NWS Des Moines IA Strong winds associated with the exiting system will continue to affect the state through the evening hours. Wind gusts out of the northwest up to 50mph will be possible, at times. Wind gusts will gradually diminish to the northeast through this evening. Strong crosswinds will be possible on north-south oriented roadways. Use caution if in high profile vehicles. Minor tree damage can occur with winds at this speed.
