Excessive Heat Warning issued June 19 at 11:05AM EDT until June 19 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Gray ME * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine and central, northern, and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
