Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Training thunderstorms today could create swaths of heavy rainfall; areas could experience rainfall totals between 2-4 inches. Air Quality Alert issued July 20 at 2:40PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for Fine Particulates, until midnight EDT tonight. A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity.
