HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Lancaster, Lebanon, Ephrata, Columbia, Lititz, Millersville, Willow Street, Mount Joy, Palmyra, New Holland, Manheim, and Annville. This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 261 to 295. Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in State College PA. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Central York County in south central Pennsylvania... * Until midnight EDT tonight. * At 849 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Hershey, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Lititz, Millersville, Willow Street, Mount Joy, Palmyra, Red Lion, Spry, Manheim, Annville, East Petersburg, Cornwall, Dallastown, Akron and Shiloh. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of slow moving thunderstorms are expected with torrential downpours and intense rain rates over 2 inches per hour possible. Localized rainfall totals could exceed 5 inches.
