Red Flag Warning issued June 16 at 10:10AM PDT until June 17 at 9:00PM PDT by NWS Pendleton OR ...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Today and Wednesday... .Wind and low relative humidity will combine with dry fuels resulting in potential for wildfire spread Today and Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 9 PM PDT Wednesday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 690 Kittitas Valley. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 11 PM PDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 11 AM to 9 PM PDT Wednesday. * WINDS...Northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

In Washington, Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Washington, Kittitas Valley, and Simcoe Highlands. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Blowing dust may reduce visibility as low as one mile. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
