Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville affecting Madison, Jackson and Marshall Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Paint Rock River near Woodville. * WHEN...Until Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Portions of Alabama State Highway 65 are closed due to high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 18.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:00 AM CDT Monday was 18.2 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 19.9 feet this afternoon. It will then fall just after midnight tonight. It will rise to 19.1 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is already occurring. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northern Huntsville, Scottsboro, Moores Mill, Meridianville, Hazel Green, Stevenson, Hollywood, Skyline, Gurley, Section, Woodville, Pisgah, New Market, Alabama A And M University, Harvest, Lincoln, Pleasant Groves, Hytop, Dutton and Paint Rock. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
