special weather statement in effect Significant snowfall is expected this week. Heavy snow is expected to begin again wednesday afternoon along the foothills then continue to spread to the south Wednesday night. Total amounts of 10 to 25 cm are possible by Thursday morning. The highest amounts will fall in the foothills regions. The snow will be heavy and wet, and will be mixed with rain in some areas, so total snowfall accumulations will vary widely. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
