Linden Beach Weather Warnings

severe thunderstorm warning in effect At 6:18 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing pea to dime size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located near Wheatley and is nearly stationary. Hazard: Heavy downpours with up to 50 mm rain locally and up to 70 km/h wind gusts. Locations impacted include: Mount Carmel, Blytheswood and Goldsmith. ### Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors! Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
