High Wind Warning issued June 15 at 12:57AM PDT until June 16 at 11:00AM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA * WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures in the 90s to around 100 degrees today, and just a few degrees lower on Sunday. Temperatures may be a bit lower right at the beaches. Overnight temperatures will remain in the 70s to lower 80s in the warmer locations. For the High Wind Warning, north winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast and Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 6 PM PDT this evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 9 AM this morning to 8 PM PDT Sunday. For the High Wind Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 11 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles. High temperatures may cause heat illnesses, including heat stroke. In very windy conditions, watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use extra caution if you must drive. In the heat, drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room if possible, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
