Flood Warning issued June 4 at 6:46PM CDT until June 5 at 6:45AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall over the last few hours, especially across the town of Marion. * WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the following county, Marion. * WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring, especially in the town of Marion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 643 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hillsboro, Marion, Florence, Lincolnville, Pilsen and Marion Lake. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
