Red River of the North at Fargo affecting Clay and Cass Counties. For the Red River...including Fargo...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Red River of the North at Fargo. * WHEN...From Wednesday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, MODERATE FLOOD. City parks and recreation areas along the river begin to flood (Fargo). All storm sewer lift stations are in operation (Fargo). * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening and continue rising to 23.5 feet early Monday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Safety message - Turn around, don't drown. Don't travel through flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In North Dakota, Cass, Ransom, Richland, and Sargent Counties. * WHEN...From noon today to 1 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
