Flood Advisory issued July 19 at 10:01PM EDT until July 20 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Cumberland, Harnett and Sampson. * WHEN...Until 100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 959 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms across much of the Sandhills. While heavy rainfall has not yet arrived within the advisory area, it is expected to between 10 - 11 PM. Minor flooding is possible once the heaviest showers arrive. - Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area which will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayetteville, Clinton, Fort Bragg, Harrells, Godwin, Pope AAF, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Eastover, Roseboro, Stedman, Garland, Wade, Salemburg, Turkey, Falcon, Autryville, Bushy Lake Natural Area, Cedar Creek and Vander. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
