Tornado Warning issued July 20 at 4:51PM CDT until July 20 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Des Moines IA At 451 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Jewell Junction, or 11 miles southeast of Webster City, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Jewell Junction, Ellsworth, and Randall around 455 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Ellsworth, Kamrar, Randall, and Radcliffe. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 129 and 138. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Emergency management reported large hail near Kamrar. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Jewell Junction, Radcliffe, Ellsworth, Kamrar, Randall, and Buckeye. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 129 and 144. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central Iowa. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
