Flood Advisory issued June 24 at 7:26PM CDT until June 24 at 10:30PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage and Will. * WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 725 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms with rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen so far near Naperville. Street flooding may begin shortly after the onset of rainfall. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Lombard, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Woodridge, Midway Airport, Chicago Lawn, South Lawndale and Englewood. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
