Tornado Warning issued June 11 at 8:01PM CDT until June 11 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL At 801 PM CDT/901 PM EDT/, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes were located along a line extending from near Hopkins Park to near Morocco to Kentland to near Earl Park to near Boswell, moving east at 65 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. These dangerous storms will be near... Kentland, Morocco, Goodland, and Brook around 805 PM CDT. Fowler, Boswell, and Earl Park around 905 PM EDT. Remington around 810 PM CDT. Oxford around 910 PM EDT. Other locations in the path of these tornadic storms include Rensselaer and Hanging Grove. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. This line of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Flood Watch issued June 11 at 12:39PM CDT until June 11 at 11:00PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Illinois, including the following counties, Ford and Iroquois and northwest Indiana, including the following counties, Benton, Jasper and Newton. * WHEN...Until 11 PM CDT /midnight EDT/ this evening. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, with rain rates up to 1 to 3 inches per hour. The most likely areas for flooding include urban areas and locations and received heavy rainfall over the last few days. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Watch for flash flooding means rapid-onset flooding is possible, but not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts. Flash flooding is a dangerous situation.
