Flood Watch issued September 28 at 1:04PM CDT until October 1 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas, including the following counties, Jewell, Mitchell, Osborne, Phillips, Rooks and Smith and Nebraska, including the following counties, Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Dawson, Fillmore, Franklin, Furnas, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Howard, Kearney, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Phelps, Polk, Sherman, Thayer, Valley, Webster and York. * WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - After a wet period last week with much of the area seeing 3 to 5 inches of rainfall, another prolonged light to moderate rain event will impact the entire Watch area. While rain will begin during the day Tuesday, the impacts will accumulate. Tuesday night - Thursday will be the primary period to see excessive runoff, especially Wednesday into Thursday.
