Special Weather Statement issued July 2 at 10:37PM MDT by NWS Glasgow MT At 1037 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles east of Rock Creek Rec Area to near Fallon. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Glendive, Circle, Fallon, Richey, Bloomfield, West Glendive, Vida, Intake, Lindsay, Hoyt, Enid, Weldon, Forest Park, Stipek, Marsh, and Burns. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for northeastern Montana.
