East Central Beaver County in southern Utah... * Until 700 PM MDT. * At 355 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain at the mouth of Beaver Canyon, and the storm is moving up Beaver Canyon into the Cottonwood Burn Scar now. Up to 0.25 inches of rain have fallen in the lower canyon. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Rainfall has not yet moved into the south fork of North Creek. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Beaver River. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
