These strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 8 NM northwest of Pascagoula to 24 NM south of Horn Island, or along a line from 8 NM northwest of Pascagoula to 23 NM east of Chandeleur Sound, moving southwest at 25 knots. Locations impacted include... Ship Island, Cat Island, Chandeleur Sound, Mississippi Sound, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Biloxi, Gulf Park Estates and Ocean Springs. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
