Southwestern Putnam County in north central Missouri... * Until 815 PM CDT. * At 729 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of Spickard, or 15 miles northeast of Trenton, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * Locations impacted include... Milan, Unionville, Princeton, Green City, Greencastle, Spickard, Newtown, Pollock, Lucerne, Tindall, Harris, Osgood, Mill Grove, Lemons, and Green Castle. Flood Watch issued June 10 at 10:08AM CDT until June 11 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected to develop rapidly this afternoon in much of northern Missouri and far northeastern Kansas. Storms will be slow-moving and capable of producing torrential rainfall. Localized rainfall totals in excess of 3 inches are possible, which may occur in as little as an hour or two. Northern Linn County in north central Missouri... North Central Livingston County in north central Missouri... Sullivan County in north central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 614 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Milan, Green City, Greencastle, Browning, Galt, Laredo, Purdin, Humphreys, Osgood, Reger, Winigan and Green Castle. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
