Flood Watch issued June 11 at 11:21AM CDT until June 11 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and northeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Marathon, Portage and Wood. In northeast Wisconsin, Shawano and Waupaca. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are already running high and could flood with additional heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Radar estimates and surface observations indicate much of central Wisconsin saw 2 to 4 inches of rain on Wednesday so soils are very saturated. Additional heavy rain is expected this afternoon and evening, which could lead to more flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Special Weather Statement issued June 11 at 6:49PM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI At 649 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers extending from 7 miles southeast of Merrill to 5 miles south of Lake Wazeecha, or extending from 9 miles north of Wausau to 8 miles southeast of Wisconsin Rapids, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. The shower will be near... Wausau, Rib Mountain, Mosinee, Lake Wazeecha and Wisconsin Rapids around 650 PM CDT. Weston and Whiting around 700 PM CDT. Stevens Point around 705 PM CDT. Bevent around 725 PM CDT. Amherst around 735 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this shower include Knowlton, Rib Mountain State Park, Dancy, Biron, Junction City, Rudolph, Moon, Port Edwards, Schofield and Rothschild. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions.
