Extreme Heat Warning issued July 25 at 2:26AM MDT until July 26 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Billings MT * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 98 to 108, hottest over eastern Montana. Today is expected to be the hottest day. * WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southeast Montana and north central Wyoming. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerously hot daytime temperatures combined with warm overnight low temperatures will produce cumulative heat stress. This heat stress will quickly become dangerous to anyone without adequate cooling and hydration. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
