Fire Weather Watch issued June 5 at 12:36PM PDT until June 9 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS Las Vegas NV The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM to 11 PM PDT Saturday. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Monday morning through Tuesday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Nevada...Fire weather zones 461, 462, and 465. * TIMING...9 AM PDT through 11 PM PDT Saturday for the Red Flag Warning. Monday morning through Tuesday evening for the Fire Weather Watch. * WIND...Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * HUMIDITY...5 to 15 percent * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
