Flood Warning issued May 7 at 8:39AM CDT until May 7 at 7:45PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following county, Greenwood. * WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Low-water crossing near the State Street Bridge on P Road, one-quarter mile south of 140th Street is inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 839 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Eureka, Hamilton, Severy, Fall River, Climax, Virgil, Eureka Airport, Eureka City Lake, Fall River Lake, Fall River State Park, Piedmont, Cross Timbers State Park and Toronto Lake. - Other areas across the county may still be affected by high water due to excessive runoff from the rains last evening and night. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
