Flood Warning issued June 6 at 3:25AM CDT until June 6 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Oklahoma, including the following counties, Comanche, Cotton and Tillman and northern Texas, including the following county, Wichita. * WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 324 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lawton, Burkburnett, Iowa Park, Cache, Geronimo, Grandfield, Chattanooga, Devol, Faxon, Loveland, Cookietown, southern Fort Sill and southern Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 2:14AM CDT until June 6 at 5:00AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Baylor, Wichita and Wilbarger. * WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 214 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
