Southwestern Logan County in southern West Virginia... West Central Mingo County in southern West Virginia... * Until 730 AM EDT. * At 411 AM EDT, Between 3 and 5.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Logan, Man, Delbarton, Holden, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Chattaroy, Mallory, Amherstdale-Robinette, Switzer, Chauncey, Sarah Ann, Myrtle, Lenore and Naugatuck. This includes Route 119 between mile markers 1 and 25. While the heaviest rainfall has ended, light to moderate rain showers continue with many areas still seeing flooding this morning. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
