Northern Fulton County in west central Illinois... Southern Knox County in west central Illinois... * Until 945 PM CDT. * At 852 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Good Hope, or 7 miles northeast of Macomb, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Fairview, Canton and Farmington. This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 57 and 67. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and west central Illinois.
