Southern Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee... * Until 430 PM CDT. * At 327 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles west of Ardmore to near Athens to near Tanner, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Athens, Moores Mill, Meridianville, Redstone Arsenal, Hazel Green, Ardmore, and Gurley. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Decatur, Madison, Athens, Hartselle, Moulton, Priceville, Trinity, Falkville, Rogersville, and Ardmore. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for north central and northwestern Alabama...and Middle Tennessee.
