North central Posey County in southwestern Indiana... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 512 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Albion, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Albion, Grayville, Owensville, New Harmony, Bellmont, Keensburg, Griffin, and Browns. This includes the following highways... Interstate 64 in Indiana between Mile Markers 1 and 11. Interstate 64 in Illinois between Mile Markers 128 and 130. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Locally higher values possible on Monday. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
