Flood Watch issued June 8 at 3:23PM EDT until June 9 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following areas, Clark IN, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison IN, Orange, Perry, Scott IN and Washington IN and Kentucky, including the following areas, Adair, Allen, Barren, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Butler, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hancock, Hardin, Hart, Jefferson, Larue, Logan, Marion, Meade, Metcalfe, Monroe, Nelson, Ohio, Oldham, Russell, Shelby, Simpson, Spencer, Taylor, Warren and Washington KY. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Ample moisture will move into our region ahead of a slow moving disturbance. Special Weather Statement issued June 8 at 10:34PM CDT by NWS Louisville KY At 1033 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Elkton, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. At 1030 PM CDT, the Kentucky Mesonet station in Todd County reported a 45 mph wind gust. Locations impacted include... Russellville, Franklin, Auburn, Adairville, Hilltop, Neosheo, Dennis, Dot, South Union, and Lickskillet. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
