South Central Bossier Parish in northwestern Louisiana... Southwestern Caddo Parish in northwestern Louisiana... Northwestern De Soto Parish in northwestern Louisiana... Eastern Panola County in northeastern Texas... * Until 1215 AM CDT. * At 1015 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Shreveport, Bossier City, Carthage, Mansfield, Haughton, Stonewall, Logansport, Deberry, Fosters, Eastwood, South Mansfield, Gary City, Keachi, Grand Cane, Longstreet, Keat Chie, Kickapoo, Spring Ridge, Gloster and Reeds Store. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
