Extreme Heat Warning issued July 2 at 9:43AM CDT until July 3 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions will continue through Independence Day with heat index values peaking in the 105 to 112 range. Overnight conditions will be very uncomfortable with lows in the 70s. * WHERE...Middle Tennessee. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT Friday. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
