Coastal Flood Warning issued June 20 at 2:29PM CDT until June 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lake Charles LA * WHAT...Significant coastal flooding. * WHERE...In Louisiana, West Cameron and East Cameron Parishes. In Texas, Lower Jefferson County. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Near the coast, tides of 2.0 to 2.5 feet MHHW will recede tonight and rise again early Friday morning to between 1.5 and 2.0 feet MHHW. Further inland, tides of 2.0 to 2.5 feet MHHW will recede tonight and rise back to around 2.0 feet MHHW early Friday. Tides will remain elevated for several hours, with significant flooding expected to persist. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
