Maquoketa River near Maquoketa affecting Jackson County. Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry IL, Whiteside and Rock Island Counties. Rock River at Moline affecting Henry IL and Rock Island Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Maquoketa River near Maquoketa. * WHEN...From Friday morning to Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Significant agricultural flooding and increasing impacts on the city of Maquoketa. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.0 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Friday morning to a crest of 25.6 feet Friday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 24.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 945 PM CDT.

Flood Watch issued June 11 at 2:40AM CDT until June 11 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois, including the following counties, Carroll, Jo Daviess and Stephenson and Iowa, including the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, Jones and Linn. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of heavy rain producing thunderstorms will be seen across the watch area. Storms may redevelop over the same areas resulting torrential rainfall and possibly several inches of rain. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
