Additional rainfall of 1 to 2" is likely, with locally higher amounts possible. If you live in or near the watch, please continue to monitor the weather closely today. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northeast, and northwest Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin and Webster. In north central Iowa, Butler, Franklin, Humboldt and Wright. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. In northwest Iowa, Pocahontas. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening may bring additional rainfall of 1 to 2" or more to areas that saw heavy rainfall last night.
