Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - - A line of thunderstorms with rainfall rates locally in excess of 1 to 2 inches per hour may move across portions of northern and northeastern Illinois late this evening. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1028 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Streator, Pontiac, Dwight, Fairbury, Chatsworth, Forrest, Flanagan, Odell, South Streator, Cullom, Cornell, Saunemin, Long Point, Campus, Reddick, Emington and Strawn. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
