Southeastern Middlesex County in northeastern Massachusetts... * WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1134 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boston, Worcester, Cambridge, Newton, Framingham, Waltham, Brookline, Arlington, Leominster, Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Natick, Watertown, Lexington, Needham, Milford, Wellesley, Belmont and Westford. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Storm total rainfall amount of 2-4" are expected, but localized 5-7" amounts are possible. If these higher amounts are realized...the potential for both urban and small river/stream flooding would increase.
