Flash Flood Warning issued June 11 at 5:53PM CDT until June 11 at 7:45PM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI At 553 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flood waters were reported in one lane of highway 104 due to the flooding of Norwegion Creek which is north of Brodhead. The creek is expected to rise and cover all of highway 104. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Monroe, Edgerton, Evansville, Brodhead, Orfordville, Albany, Footville, Fulton, Newark, Magnolia, Browntown, Avon, Juda, Attica, Hanover, Leyden and Indianford. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
