Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 6:28PM CDT by NWS Huntsville AL At 627 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm about 3 miles south of Tuscumbia. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Heavy downpours, ponding of water and minor street flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor street flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain will make travel hazardous. Locations impacted include... Tuscumbia, Littleville, Colbert Heights, Whiteoak, New Bethel, and La Grange. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
