The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM MDT this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zone 424 Western Twin Falls BLM. * TIMING...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM MDT this evening. * THUNDERSTORMS...Scattered coverage with abundant lightning. * OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusty erratic winds up to 55 mph. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will occur shortly.

Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing visibility. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Twin Falls, Jerome, Kimberly, and Wendell around 650 PM MDT. Gooding, Eden, Murtaugh, and Minidoka National Monument around 700 PM MDT. Hazelton and Milner Dam around 710 PM MDT. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
